Ayu Bio-Hospital

This proposed Multi-Specialty Hospital design redefines healthcare architecture by integrating biophilic principles into a high-density urban setting. The structure moves away from the traditional "sterile" hospital look, opting instead for a vibrant, breathing environment that promotes healing through nature.

Design Highlights
Vertical Living Facade: The building is characterized by deep, recessed terraces filled with lush vertical gardens. This greenery acts as a natural air filter, reduces the urban heat island effect, and provides patients with direct visual and physical access to nature from every floor.

The Terracotta Envelope: Clad in warm, earth-toned terracotta tiles, the facade offers a sense of stability and warmth. The material choice provides excellent thermal insulation, ensuring energy efficiency in the regional climate.

Atrium-Driven Light: A central glass curtain wall slices through the building’s mass, flooding the core with natural light. This transparent spine serves as a navigational anchor, making the interior feel open and airy rather than institutional.

Functional Zoning: The design features a double-height, stone-clad podium that houses the emergency and outpatient departments, ensuring easy accessibility and clear patient flow, while the upper floors are dedicated to specialized inpatient care.

Healing Environments: By blurring the lines between the built environment and the natural world, the design focuses on "Psychological Healing," creating a calm, stress-reducing atmosphere for patients, visitors, and medical staff alike.
